Things are crazy crazy crazy right now! Classes have just begun and I am trying to drop one but it’s really hard finding a new one.. they don’t allow you to add online or see which dates they meet. I think I complained about that in the last blog, but it is the most obnoxious thing and really inefficient. It’s hard to drop that course though because I already have a 3 group meeting set up for it etc.. blah!
I’m also in the middle of planning a trip to Australia, possibly March or May.. we’ll see. I am really excited to get traveling, even though I LOVE Wellington.
Things are pretty good here right now.. my face is a bit swollen from the sun.. there are huge holes in the ozone down here and my irish skin is not taking a liking to that. No matter how many times I reapply, I get burnt. Momma dearest is sending sunscreen from the dermatologist :)
It’s funny, I feel like professors don’t have as much control over students here, or they are nervous to yell at them. In consumer behaviour these girls were having full on conversations while the prof was streaming videos and teaching. Everyone noticed and kept looking but he didn’t really do anything, then he felt bad for telling them to be quiet. I was just imagining that scene going down in Kalkin.. not.
It’s finally starting to hit me that I’m here for the semester (as school started) and not just on holiday. Everything is still going well and I am already looking forward to all the upcoming trips, which are supposed to start next weekend as the internationals are off to a winery!
The internet is up and running in my flat now which is VERY exciting. So I am connected, email or skype me!!! :)
